This workshop will focus on the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, including the National Wildlife Federation’s experience as a “first responder” to the event.  Several NGOs from across the world will provide their frst hand assessment of the spill, what went wrong, and discuss how oversight of offshore oil exploration in Norway and Mexico compare to the situation in the U.S.
